DIY Dollhouse Hamster Cage

Build a dollhouse for your hamster! Cut pieces of wood for each part of the house. Paint the wood with nontoxic paint and cover it with waterproof sealant. Cut holes in the walls or floors for tunnels for your hamster to travel between the levels, and cut ventilation holes along the top of the walls in each room. Make a window by cutting a hole in the wall, and attaching wire mesh on the outside of the hole. Assemble the dollhouse, cut a piece of Plexiglas to cover the front, and attach the Plexiglas on hinges. Use magnetic cabinet locks to hold the door shut and consider attaching wood blocks or rolling casters on each bottom corner of the house for feet. Attach the tunnels in each tunnel hole, attach eye hooks in the ceilings of several rooms to hang toys, and attach a pipe clip on a wall to hold the water bottle. Sprinkle bedding over the floors, and furnish the house for your hamster.
