DIY Mesh-Covered Crab Ladder

Make a ladder that your hermit crabs can easily climb! Get or make a miniature wooden ladder, such as a pet bird ladder. Measure the ladder, and cut a piece of plastic mesh to cover the front of the ladder. Use sandpaper or a nail file to sand the cut edges of the plastic smooth. Attach the mesh on the front of the ladder with zip ties, cut off the excess zip tie material, and sand the cut edges of the zip tie smooth. Rinse the ladder to remove any dust from sanding before putting the ladder in your pet’s habitat.
