DIY Pet Easter Egg Hunt

Have an Easter egg hunt with your pets! Cut sheets of newspaper into strips and mix a paste of flour and water in a bowl. Blow up a balloon to the desired size egg, soak a strip of paper with the flour glue and press the paper onto the balloon. Cover the balloon with paper and repeat with additional balloons to make more eggs. Allow the balloons to dry and repeat the process to cover the balloons with a second layer of paper mache. Allow the second layer to dry, pop the balloon and remove the balloon from the paper. Paint the eggs with decorative colors or apply colored paper in a third layer of paper mache on the balloons. Partially fill each homemade Easter egg with treats for your elephants or other pets to forage and hide the eggs around their yard or play area or attach the eggs to tree branches for neighborhood squirrels.
