DIY Planter Birdhouse

Upcycle a planter into a birdhouse! Cut off the bottom of the pot at an angle. Turn the bottom of the pot to fit against the top of the pot with the longer ends together and shorter ends together, and use waterproof glue to reattach the planter bottom. Tie a knot in the end of a piece of rope and feed the top of the rope up through the hole in the bottom of the planter to hang the birdhouse. Trace around the edge of the planter opening on a piece of wood and cut out a circle slightly smaller than the tracing. Drill a large hole in the wood for an entrance and a smaller hole for the perch, glue the wood into the opening of the planter and use a wood dowel, wooden spoon or decorative piece of wood for the perch.
