DIY Rat Spin Trick Training

Teach your pet rat to spin in a circle! Hold a treat directly in front of your rat, move your hand in a circle for your rat to follow and then give your pet the treat. Move on to hold the treat above your rat’s head and spin your hand in a tight circle. Give your rat the treat if they follow your hand and spin in a circle. Advance to holding up your hand in front of yourself, spin your hand in a circle and give your rat a treat if they then spin in a circle. Go back to a previous step if your rat forgets their training and practice the trick briefly each day.
