DIY Second Substrate Pit

Provide your hermit crabs with a second type of substrate! Get a plastic container that is the ideal height for your hermit crab’s substrate. Fill the container with coconut fiber or soil, and put the container in your pet’s tank. Fill in the area around the container with sand. Put a plant or other tall item in the pit for your crabs to use to climb into or out of the pit if needed.
