DIY Snake Charmer Flute

Make a traditional snake charmer’s flute to train your snake! Dry a bottleneck gourd, drill a hole in the top and bottom and hollow out the gourd. Cut two bamboo rods to the same length and drill an identical hole near one end of each bamboo stick. Drill several more holes along the top of one bamboo stick and glue the bamboo sticks together with the identical holes aligned. Glue the bamboo rods, also known as the pungi, into the bottom of the gourd and place a flute or recorder mouthpiece in the top of the gourd. Play the flute and wave the pungi in front of your non-venomous snake for your snake to follow.
