DIY Turtle Bath

Give your pet turtle a proper bath! Fill a bucket or sink with lukewarm water up to the top of your turtle’s shell. Examine your turtle’s shell under a light to find particularly dirty areas. Place your turtle in the water and use a toothbrush to scrub your turtle’s shell with the water. Remove as much algae from the shell as possible, and use the toothbrush to clean any crevices on the shell. Avoid removing any scutes if your turtle is shedding. Rinse your turtle with a hose to wash away any debris and allow your turtle to dry before placing it on a dirt or clay substrate.
