DIY Washable Fabric Bedding

Make a bedding for your hamster or other rodent that can be washed clean! Get a piece of fleece or cotton fabric. Cut the fabric into strips, then cut the strips into blocks that are too large for your hamster to swallow. Put the cotton pieces in any small areas of your hamsters cage and the fleece pieces in the more open areas. Remove the soiled bedding as needed, or remove all of the bedding at once and shake it well to remove any loose debris. Soak the fabric in a bucket with some dish liquid, then use an aquarium net to scoop out the floating debris and pour the bedding into a strainer. Put the pieces in a mesh lingerie laundry bag or mesh pillow protector, then put the bags through the laundry.
