DIY Wood Box Bird Feeder

Provide your birds with a place to eat! Cut matching pieces of wood for the walls of the box and drill holes into each piece along the edges where they will connect. Glue the wood pieces together, attach screws in the holes, and sand the edges of the box smooth. Paint or decorate the box and seal the paint, then attach various pieces of hardware to each edge for perches, such as drawer knobs or wall coat holders. Attach a piece of chain to each top corner of the box and hang the other end of the chains on an S-hook. Cut a piece of screen to cover the bottom of the box, cut a matching piece of screen for a second layer, and staple the screens in place. Hang the feeder in a tree and sprinkle bird seed into the box.
