DIY Wood Slat Place Mat

Make a duckboard-style place mat for your dog or cat! Get a small piece of duckboard that is a good size for a place mat, or make the slatted wood by cutting pieces of wood to an equal size and attaching several pieces perpendicularly across the bottom of a row. Paint the wood and coat it with sealant. Set your pet’s bowls on top of the place mat.
