DIY Wood Wire Aviary

Build an aviary for your birds! Cut pieces of wood to frame each wall of the aviary and assemble each wall frame. Cut pieces of wire mesh to fit each wood frame and staple the mesh onto the wood. Make wood frames for the door and door frame, staple the larger frame to the mesh of the front wall, cut out the mesh and attach mesh to the small door frame. Assemble the walls of the aviary, attach the door on hinges and line the lower walls of the cage with pieces of linoleum or wood. Attach a corrugated roof panel across the top of the cage, cut pieces of Styrofoam to fit inside each groove of the roof and glue the Styrofoam in place. Cut and assemble wood boards to fit around the base of the cage, attach wood bars across the center of each board to hold the cage and install a drawer inside the front board.
