Dry Ice Vivarium Pest Control

Use dry ice as an insecticide for your vivarium! Remove all pets from the vivarium and remove any plants that could freeze. Wear gloves and break a piece of dry ice into smaller chunks. Place the dry ice chunks in plastic cups or containers and set the containers evenly throughout your vivarium. Pour hot water into each cup of dry ice and cover the top of the aquarium with plastic wrap. Allow the dry ice to soak the tank for five minutes, remove the cover, tilt each cup slightly to pour any remaining fog into the tank and remove the cups. Replace the cover on the vivarium and allow the fog to soak the aquarium for a couple hours. Remove the cover to aerate the vivarium, ensure that the room is well ventilated throughout the process and return your pets to their home.
