Fabric Dog Cooling Collar

Make a cooling collar to keep your dog safe on summer walks! Cut a rectangle of decorative fabric and two pieces of nylon strapping. Use a lighter or candle to seal the ends of the strapping, place the straps on top of the fabric and sew one end of each strap to either side of the rectangle. Fold under the ends of the rectangle for each strap to be on the bottom of the fabric and sew the fabric seams shut. Roll the fabric into a tube, sew the tube shut length-wise and attach a faster clip to each of the straps. Place a strip of small ice packs in the fabric tube and snap the collar onto your dog’s neck.
