Fabric Pet Stocking Placeholders

If you plan on filling your pet’s Christmas stocking with sweet-smelling treats, you may want to consider using stocking placeholders to ensure the real stocking survives until Christmas morning. Cut a paw-print shape out of a piece of felt or other fabric and stitch the edges. Stitch only the top of the front piece of fabric so there is an opening to fill the stocking placeholder with a small toy if desired. Add a loop of fabric for hanging and decorate the front of the miniature stocking.
