Patchwork Pillow Pet Bed

Sew a patchwork bed for your dog or cat! Select a bed pillow or several throw pillows and arrange the pillows into the shape of the bed. Cover the top of the pillows with paper to use as a template, tape the paper together and cut the paper into the patch shapes. Gather old sweaters, wash and dry the sweaters with hot water for a felted material and use the template papers to cut out pieces from each sweater. Arrange the patches, pin the patches along one edge and sew each row of patches in place. Repeat to make the bottom of the pet bed, sew the top and bottom together like a pillowcase with a zipper or Velcro fastener along one end and place the pillows in the patchwork cover.
