Plastic Bottle Post Feeder
Use a plastic bottle to create a standing post feeder for your neighborhood birds! Get a large plastic bottle, remove the label, and clean it well. Cut a piece of PVC pipe to be just wider than the plastic bottle and drill two holes on either side of the center of the pipe. Drill holes in either side of the plastic bottle, push the pipe through the holes in the bottle, and seal the edges around the holes with hot glue. Cut two slits near the base of the bottle below the pipe and push a paint stirrer stick through the slits to create a perch area on either side of the feeder. Drill a hole in the bottom of the plastic bottle and put one end of a long piece of PVC pipe in the hole. Attach a metal stake in the other end of the PVC pipe, and plant the feeder post in the ground.
