Plastic Container Hamster House

Use plastic containers to make a two-story house for your hamsters! Take the lid off of a plastic container and cut out a doorway from the lip of the bowl. Sand the edges of the cut plastic smooth if needed and poke holes in the lid of the container for ventilation. Cut out a doorway from a second plastic container, cut a piece of chicken wire for a ladder and poke the edges of the wire through the container below the doorway. Bend the edges of the wire inside the container flat and cover the wire edges with tape. Place the second container on top of the house and pour dust bath material into the container.
