Plastic Container Turtle Dock

Use a plastic container to create a dry basking area and ramp out of your turtle’s tank! Get a plastic container that is a good size to fit on top of your tank. Draw a rectangle on the bottom of the container at the ideal location for a ramp, and cut out three sides of the rectangle. Bend the ramp downward and use aquarium silicone to glue a piece of tile underneath the ramp to provide enough weight to keep the ramp in the water. Apply lines of aquarium silicone across the top of the ramp for your turtle to have traction on the plastic. Put a tile in the plastic container to create a warm basking area, set the dock on top of your tank, and position a light over the basking area. Ensure that the light is in a good location to not be too warm for the plastic container.
