Wine Box Bird Cage

Make a bird cage out of wine boxes! Cut off part of one side of a wine box or remove the side panel, break the panel along the grain with a hammer and reattach the panel. Cut a piece of chicken wire for the cage walls and attach the chicken wire to either wine box. Cut out a hole from the front of the bird cage just larger than the door to your regular cage for the two cages to connect. Attach four pieces of wood into a door frame and secure the chicken wire to the door frame. Install a door on hinges to the doorway, cover the bottom of the wine box bird cage with newspaper and furnish your bird cage with natural branches and wood dowels for perches.
