DIY Fleece Glider Tree

Make a tree for your sugar glider out of fleece! Get a piece of brown fleece for the tree trunk, cut the fleece into a large rectangle, and fold the rectangle in half lengthwise. Sew the long edges of the rectangle together to make a tube, fold the tube in half, and sew the middle in place. Fold up either end of the tube to create a pocket area, sew the base of each pocket in place, and fold the top edges of the pocket inward. Poke a hole through either top corner of the back edge of the pocket, sew lanyard clips onto the tree trunk, and use the lanyard clips to hold the pocket up. Attach lanyard clips along the top edge of the tree trunk to hang it on your pet’s cage. Consider cutting a slit in the tube of the tree trunk to create another pocket area. Cut long strips of colorful fleece to make the tree branches, lay the strips in stacks, and sew along the middle of each stack to hold them in place. Cut the edges of each stack into fringe, sew one end of each branch onto the top of the tree trunk, and sew a lanyard clip onto the other end of each branch to hang it from the top of your pet’s cage.
