DIY Spindle Rat Playground

Use spindles to build a playground for your rats! Glue two small spindles into the corners on one side of a paintbrush tray to make a slide. Glue two medium-size spindles vertically against either end of a long spindle to make the frame of a swing set. Attach a wire basket along one side of the swing set for added stability and hang ropes, plastic chains or hanging bird perches along the spindle bar for swings. Drill small holes along one side of wood chopsticks, glue miniature spindles in the holes to make ladders and attach the ladders to a piece of wood to make a tall platform. Tie a rope to rungs on the platform ladders, attach a rope wheel on the rope and hang another swing on the rope wheel.
