Office Chair Cat Tower

Turn an office chair into a cat tower! Take apart an office chair and upholster the seat and chair back. Wrap a cardboard tube with sisal rope and glue the rope in place. Cut a circle of wood to fit inside the cardboard tube, drill a hole through the circle and glue the wood into one end of the cardboard tube. Drill a hole through the bottom chair cushion and attach the cardboard tube to the chair with a bolt. Attach the chair arms and chair back post to the sides and back of the seat as legs and attach thick wood dowels or blocks to the seat for additional legs. Cut a piece of fabric for the chair skirt and staple the skirt around the base of the seat. Attach the pneumatic chair shaft to the back of the top cushion, place the shaft into the scratching post and glue the top seat in place.
