Metal Basket Rat Foraging Station

Use a metal waste basket as a foraging station for your rats! Get a metal basket that has holes wide enough for your rats to climb and that is heavy enough not to tip over from your rat’s weight. If needed, place something heavy in the bottom of the basket, such as a rock. Fill the basket with random items your rats might like, such as thread spools, Popsicle sticks, or crumpled pieces of paper. Set the basket in an area your rats can easily access, and add new items or toss in some treats occasionally to keep it exciting.
