DIY Cardboard Rodent Playhouse

Create a playhouse for your hedgehog, hamsters or other small pets! Find a suitable cardboard box and cut off the top flaps. Turn the box upside-down and cut out a doorway and windows. Paint one of the cardboard flaps and glue it across the front of the house for a store sign. Cut small strips of cardboard for window shutters, cut a piece of cardboard as wide as the door and fold the cardboard into a triangle shape for an awning over the doorway. Cut doileys or ribbons and glue the decorations across the top of each window for curtains. Make additional playhouses to create a village for your pet to roam during playtime and furnish the inside of each house with pet-friendly furniture, decorations or toys.
