DIY Dog Bow Training

Train your dog to take a bow! Determine the reward that your dog will be most eager to work for, such as a treat or play time with a favorite toy. Hold the item on the ground in front of your dog and reward your dog with item as well as praise or a clicker noise when your dog shows interest in the reward. Continue rewarding your pet as they get closer to performing the trick, such as if they extend their paws or lay down. Hold your arm under your dog’s hips and continue trying to coax your dog into the bow position. When they get into the bow position, say “bow,” and give them the reward. Repeat the process as needed until your dog can take a bow on request!
