DIY Faux Tree Stump

Make a tree stump for your vivarium! Cut pieces of polystyrene into rectangles and glue the rectangles together in a stack. Set something heavy on the stack while the glue dries. Turn the rectangle stack on its side, draw a circle for the shape of the tree stump and draw a second circle inside the first to hollow out the stump. Use a saw to cut out the stump, then use a drill to hollow out the center and create a hole near the bottom for your pet to enter. Cut small pieces of polystyrene for the tree roots and glue the pieces around the base of the stump. Coat the structure with grout, then paint and seal it.
