DIY Guinea Pig Lion Costume

Dress your cavy as the king of the jungle for Halloween! Measure your guinea pig and cut a piece of ribbon or string to the length needed for the mane. Attach a Velcro strip on either end of the ribbon or string. Cut strips of fabric for the mane, cut fringe along one end of each piece of fabric and sew the non-fringe end onto the ribbon. Draw a template for the lion back and tail onto a piece of newspaper, cut out the shape and use the paper template to cut out the shape from a piece of tan fabric. Sew the front of the fabric to the underside of the mane and sew strips of mane fabric onto the tip of the tail.
