DIY Lattice Tortoise Enclosure

Build an outdoor enclosure for your tortoises! Dig out the area for the enclosure, lay chicken wire across the foundation and fold the chicken wire up the sides of the enclosure area. Cover the foundation with dirt and assemble pieces of bamboo to make the frame of the enclosure. Attach pieces of plastic lattice around each wall of the enclosure and attach pieces of lattice across the top of the enclosure with hinges. Cut blocks of wood into a U-shape, drill a hole through each end of the U-shapes, place the blocks over the top lattice and bamboo and feed a stick through the holes to lock the enclosure lids. Transplant various plants that your tortoise can eat into the enclosure and make a natural hide for your tortoise by hollowing out a tree branch.
