DIY Parrot Chop

Cook a healthy meal for your birds! Select a medley of vegetables, spices, beans and grains that are nutritious for your birds and provide an array of colors, textures and shapes. Wash and chop the vegetables and slightly under-cook the rice or pasta to keep the grains fresh for freezing. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and store individual servings of the homemade bird food in sealed sandwich bags. For larger batches of chop, consider disinfecting your bathtub and mixing the chop in the tub.
Ingredients: carrots, broccoli kale, collard greens, zucchini beans, corn, peppers, peas, whole grain pasta, wheat germ, quinoa, brown rice, cranberries, squash, coconut, yams, ginger root, cilantro, basil, dill, rosemary, cinnamon, celery seed, parsnips, seaweed, arugula or other bird-friendly foods
