DIY Rat Hand Jump Training

Train your rat to climb onto your hand! Hold one hand out flat to your rat. Hold a treat in your other hand, and get your rat to follow the treat, climbing onto your open hand. As your pet climbs onto your palm, say a command, such as “Hand.” When they are fully on your palm, give them the treat and additional praise, such as a clicker sound. Repeat the process, raise your hand slightly as your rat becomes accustomed to the trick until they need to jump.
