DIY Suet Ball Feeder

Make suet balls to feed chickadees and other wild birds! Put all of the suet ingredients in a bowl except the cornmeal and stir them well. Add the cornmeal as needed to make forming the suet easier. Form a portion of the suet into a ball and continue making balls until all of the suet is gone. Untwist a wire hanger, straighten the hanger, and spear the end of the hanger through each ball to create a hole. Put the balls on wax paper in the freezer. Once frozen, thread them onto the hanger, and hang the feeder from a tree branch.
Ingredients: rolled oats, sunflower seeds, whole wheat flour, peanut butter, vegetable shortening, crushed egg shells, corn oil, and cornmeal
