DIY Turtle Egg Sandbox

Make a sandbox for your turtles to lay eggs! Cut strips of acrylic for the base and walls of the sandbox and glue the pieces into a shallow box. Use pieces of PVC pipe and connectors to assemble a rack to hold the sandbox. Cut a piece of bent acrylic for the ramp, drill holes along the top of the ramp for drainage, cover the ramp with plastic mesh and hang the acrylic on the sandbox. Fill the box with sand, hang a heat lamp over the box and assemble plants around the box to provide shaded areas of sand for the eggs. Consider placing a piece of tile or brick in the sandbox as a basking area for your turtles.
