Horse Trough Turtle Tank

Keep your turtles in a horse trough! Get a horse trough that is the ideal size for your available area. Build a sturdy wood frame for the trough to sit on and make or buy a filter for the water. Assemble pieces of PVC pipe to make a table frame with a couple pipes going across the tabletop and put a large rock on the PVC table to create a basking area. Attach clip-on lights on the trough and point the lights at the rock. Add any other items to the trough that your turtles may need or enjoy, such as a water heater, aquatic plants, or a ramp to get onto the basking rock.
