DIY Floating Foliage Ball

Create a floating ball of live plants and algae in your aquarium! Attach a strong suction cup on the floor of your tank. Attach two pieces of fishing line on the suction cup and attach a swivel fishing whirl on each line. Drill a hole through a Styrofoam ball and put a piece of plastic tubing through the hole. If using a hollow ball, fill the ball with aquarium-safe expanding foam. Flatten Cladophora balls, cover the outside of the Styrofoam ball with the flattened algae balls, and thoroughly wrap the ball with fishing line to hold the algae in place. Attach plants and sticks on the ball with aquarium-safe U-shaped pins. Wrap two fishing lines around the ball and through the plastic tube, and attach the lines on the swivel fishing whirls.
