DIY Valentine’s Day Heart Rug

Sew a rug that looks like a candy heart to put in your rat’s cage for Valentine’s Day! Draw the shape of the heart on a piece of newspaper, then cut out the shape. Use the paper template to cut the shape out of a piece of thick fabric. Embroider a message often seen on candy hearts, such as “Be Mine” or “Kiss Me”, in the center of the rug.
