DIY Aquarium Gravel Vacuum

Clean your aquarium gravel with a plastic bottle! Cut off the bottom of a plastic bottle and drill a hole in the bottle cap. Cut a length of plastic tubing, insert the tube in the bottle cap and use aquarium silicone to seal the edges. Place a bucket next to your aquarium, hold the gravel vacuum under water until all the air is released and hold the tube spout over the bucket. Suck on the tube until the water starts flowing into the bucket and then move the plastic bottle vacuum over your aquarium gravel while the water drains.
