Picnic Basket Pet Carrier

Turn a picnic basket into a comfortable pet carrier! Fold a plastic tablecloth in half, set the basket on top and cut the tablecloth several inches around each basket edge. Sew the edges of the water-resistant bed liner, stuff the pillow and cover the pillow with a pillowcase. Hang a piece of mesh over the basket with the handles upright, cut the mesh to the size needed, round the corners and weave an elastic string along the edge of the mesh. Decorate the basket to your fancy and simply take the mesh cover on or off as needed. Modify the base of the basket to have a perch, rope bridge, climbing net, or hide for smaller animals.
